Who I am
Hello there! I’m Andrea "Mahigun" Bogiatto, and if there’s one thing I love more than dogs, it’s the incredible bond they create with us. Hailing from the beautiful city of Turin, I’ve spent my life pursuing a dream that started when I was just a kid—becoming a police officer with a loyal K-9 by my side. Join me on this journey as I share my passion for dogs, my experiences in law enforcement, and my mission to enhance the human-canine relationship!
Career Journey:
My adventure began with a deep-seated desire to serve my community. After a whirlwind start in the Italian Red Cross as an emergency responder, I found my calling in the police force. For over ten years, I proudly served in various capacities, where each day brought new challenges and opportunities to make a difference. I honed my skills in parachuting, lifeguarding, and crowd control, but the real magic happened when I joined the K-9 unit.
Oh, what a journey that was! It was there that I discovered the sheer joy of working with dogs. Becoming a K-9 instructor felt like destiny—like finding the missing piece of a puzzle. I specialized in areas such as patrol, drug detection, and explosives, all while ensuring that my training methods were both effective and compassionate. My approach blended classical techniques with innovative adaptations, fostering a deeper connection between dogs and their handlers. It wasn’t just about training; it was about building trust, teamwork, and a sense of partnership.
After a decade filled with memorable experiences, I decided it was time to forge my own path. I launched "Coach a 4 Zampe" and "Dogs Enforcement LLC," where I could share my passion for canine training with a broader audience. I later joined my family’s business, TRibeke Training Company, where we strive to create innovative programs that prioritize the well-being of dogs and their humans alike.
Along the way, I authored two books and contributed to esteemed national publications such as "La Stampa", “Successo.com” and "Italiani Ovunque." I even got the chance to collaborate on a television program led by a well-known director in the Italian media sphere. It’s been an incredible journey filled with storytelling and spreading the love for dogs!
I was also honored to receive an O-1 visa for extraordinary abilities from the U.S. government, which opened new doors and allowed me to connect with dog enthusiasts globally. My podcast, "Unidad K-9," conducted in Spanish, has resonated with listeners, and my credentials have been recognized by the Ministry of Interior in Spain.
In addition to my practical experiences, I’ve enjoyed sharing my knowledge as a criminology instructor at E-campus University in Rome and the Inter-American University in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Teaching the next generation about the fascinating world of canine studies has been incredibly rewarding.
Now, as I settle into the vibrant community of Gainesville, I’m filled with excitement and determination. My mission is clear: to foster and enhance the unique bond between humans and their canine companions. Together, let’s explore how we can make our lives richer and more meaningful through the love and loyalty of dogs. Whether through training, education, or simply sharing stories, I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!.
